Suyad Home Improvement | Backpack-Vacuum-Cleaners

When it comes to vacuum cleaners, a majority of people use the upright version instead of the backpack vacuum cleaner. But is this the best kind to use? Most of us don’t think about questioning the kind of vacuum that would be best able to handle our needs and instead focus on the brand and cost of the cleaner.

One of the advantages of backpack cleaners is that they are more versatile than upright vacuum cleaners. They can handily clean places that upright vacuums cannot and can greatly lessen the amount of time needed to clean. Because of their efficiency they are used primarily by commercial/professional cleaners to clean a variety of areas such as schools, businesses, elevators, stairs, etc. But why are professional cleaners the main ones using backpack vacuums? Why doesn’t everyone use them? With a backpack vacuum cleaner you will be able to make quick work of floors, stairs, curtains, shelves, spaces around and underneath the furniture, the furniture itself, and even ceiling fans and tops of cabinets with the right attachments. But this is only one benefit of the backpack over the upright.

There were two studies done in 1998 by the Department of Surgery Division of Orthopaedics, Ohio State University and Battelle Memorial Institute that found that the use of backpack vacuum cleaners held several advantages over the mainstream upright model. In addition to the versatility of the backpacks as previously noted, these types were also found to be beneficial because they were physically less stressful to use because they required less “hunching over” and also cut down the level of repetitious motions that take place when one uses an upright vacuum cleaner. This repeated action could actually affect one’s health adversely over the long time.
